Leonardo da Vinci wrote about 20,000 pages in his log books about his work. These note books provide a rich insight into his way of life. He was probably the most prolific blogger of the renaissance. Michelangelo left beautiful sculptures and poems as his legacy.
Charles Darwin wrote books that changed our way of thinking about evolution. Columbus left records to show the Earth was not flat. Shakespeare provided folios of his plays and poems. They are all legacies from which we have benefited.
My hobby is to interview and write personal stories about people like Leonardo, Michelangelo, Darwin, Columbus , Shakespeare and others who used their time well to do amazing things. When people ask how I can write as if I was their scriptwriter I say that they left me examples of their notes and work.
As a result, I have written sixteen books and created over 400 audios with actors taking the roles of outstanding people, published at The Amazing People Club. They include people like:
- Thomas Edison who gave us the electric light.
- Johann Gutenberg who gave us the printing press.
- Marie Curie who was the first person to win two Nobel prizes.
- Mozart, Beethoven and Tchaikovsky who still delight us with their music.
Each visit is a fascinating journey, as I also take the time to visit the places where amazing people lived and worked. I have been in the house at Stratford on Avon, England, where Shakespeare was born. In Krakow, Poland, I visited the birthplace of Helena Rubinstein who later made millions in Australia, Europe and the USA from her cosmetics business.
In Amboise, France, I strolled down the same street where Leonardo walked to the home provided to him by King Francois I. Also, in the same country, I have stood in, and marvelled at. Dr Louis Pasteur’s laboratory built in a bedroom at his home in Arbois.
On the same visit, I went to Switzerland and visited the chateau where Voltaire wrote many of his great works. In each place, I learned a lot and imagined what each person would say about their life. That is how I come to meet so many amazing people.
Now, I have written their stories in what are called BioViews(R). These are biographical interviews in the first person.
